Soydan VT Consultancy is a Dubai-based vertical transportation consultancy firm providing clear, practical, and forward-thinking advice across all aspects of lift and escalator design.
Led by Erkan Soydan, a Mechanical Engineer with a Master’s degree in Building Information Management (BIM), Soydan VT brings over 15 years of international experience in the vertical transportation industry, spanning high-rise, mixed-use, commercial, residential, hospitality, education, healthcare, and public-sector developments across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the UK.
Unlike large multidisciplinary firms, Soydan VT provides direct access to senior expertise, enabling faster decisions, tailored designs, and early-stage integration that helps prevent costly revisions. Our core services include VT design and strategy, BIM coordination, traffic analysis, code compliance, and technical advisory for architects, developers, and MEP engineers.
Erkan Soydan is the Middle East representative on the Society of Vertical Transportation (SoVT) committee under CIBSE. He actively contributes to advancing vertical transportation design standards and industry best practices, bringing the same commitment to excellence to every project delivered by Soydan VT across the Middle East.

Erkan Soydan
Founder & Head of VT Consultancy
With over 15 years of international experience across the UK, the Middle East, and Turkey, Erkan Soydan is the driving force behind Soydan VT Consultancy. His career has been dedicated to solving the complex vertical transportation challenges of modern buildings.

Erkan specialises in designing lift and escalator systems for ambitious projects, from soaring high-rises to large-scale mixed-use developments, ensuring they are efficient, sustainable, and future-ready. This passion is what brought him to the Middle East, where he also serves as a representative on the CIBSE Society of Vertical Transportation (SoVT) committee.

What truly sets Erkan's approach apart is the integration of advanced Building Information Management (BIM), in which he has a Master's degree. Blending BIM and traditional VT knowledge, Erkan delivers smoother coordination with architectural and engineering teams from the earliest stages, reducing risks and preventing costly delays.

Katja's role at Soydan VT Consultancy is to support the company in setting and realizing an ambitious strategic roadmap and enabling effective operations.

We deliver lift and escalator design solutions spanning pre-concept to tender stages. Our continuously updated industry knowledge and design expertise allows us to offer the highest levels of effectiveness and compliance while being agile and proactive.
Peer Review
Non-compliant VT design can turn very costly if allowed to impact broader project timelines and designs. Our detailed and independent assessment allows for early identification of design risks to minimise such issues and streamline project delivery.
BIM Collabration
